The Sarba Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Assam has officially issued a critical notification regarding the upcoming written examination for the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. This special session is explicitly conducted for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels to address the language-specific teacher shortages in Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar medium elementary schools across the state.

 

The notification outlines the finalized exam date, precise timelines for downloading hall tickets, mandatory entry requirements, and the strict protocol candidates must maintain inside the examination center.

Exam Pattern of Assam Special TET 2026

Paper I: LP (Class I to V)

All questions are compulsory and multiple-choice (MCQ) type. Each question carries 1 mark.

How to Download your Admit Card for Assam TET 2026?

The download link will be available on the official website of the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), formerly SEBA.

  1. Go to the official website: www.sebaonline.org.
  2. Click on the link for “Download Special TET 2026 Admit Card“.
  3. Enter your Application Number and Password used during form submission.
  4. Download and print a hard copy of your admit card.

Mandatory for Entry: You must bring a physical hard copy of the Admit Card and a valid Photo Identity Card (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, or Voter ID). PwBD candidates must also carry their certificate from a Competent Authority or District Commissioner.

When will the Special Assam TET 2026 Admit Card be available for download?

The admit card download link will be active from June 12, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM onwards.

The written examination for both Lower Primary and Upper Primary levels will be held on June 28, 2026 (Sunday).

You can download your digital copy from the official portal of the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) at www.sebaonline.org.

You will need the Application Number and Password that you generated while initially filling out your application form.

This special session is conducted exclusively for candidates belonging to the Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar mediums.

No. There is no negative marking in either Paper I (LP) or Paper II (UP).

You must bring a printed hard copy of your Admit Card along with an original government-issued Photo Identity Card (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License). Digital copies on mobile phones are strictly not allowed.
