The Office of the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam, has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of 579 Land Record Assistant (LRA) posts under the amalgamated establishment of District Commissioner’s Offices, excluding Sixth Schedule areas.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed the six-month Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40.
- Passed the mandated examination in both Survey and Settlement subjects.
- Obtained proficiency through an official result declared by the Director of Land Records & Surveys etc., Assam.
- Completed the required RCCC qualification before the commencement of Government Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13 August 2026.
2. Computer Proficiency : A minimum computer typing speed of 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese/Bengali is required.
3. Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxations for reserved categories apply as per Government rules. Age verification will be based on the Class-X or Class-XII Admit Card, Pass Certificate, or Mark sheet.
4. Current Employees: Candidates already in Central or State Government service must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during document verification.
Selection Process
The selection process for Assam Land Record Assistant Recruitment 2026 consists of:

1. Written Examination (Paper-I): 80 Marks
